The Football Association Challenge Cup, commonly known as the FA Cup and currently sponsored as the Emirates FA Cup, is the world’s oldest national association football knockout competition. Organized annually by The Football Association since 1871–72, it is open to clubs across the English and Welsh football league system. The tournament follows a straight knockout format culminating in a final at Wembley Stadium each May.
